Characters

Le Bon Ton is a game that includes a number of pre-written characters and non-player characters, though there is also scope to include additional characters generated by players. The list below outlines the brief information about the pre-written and NPC roles. 

First Release

White

Colonel Leighton-White (NPC)

Vigorous aged gentleman distinguished by loyal service primarily in the American colonies before the revolutionary war. Took a grave wound in battle and is somewhat eccentric. Has three children living, and two granddaughters nearing adulthood.

Captain Jonathan Radcliffe (enf) (wed)

Married to Mrs Lucilla Radcliffe. Son-in-law of Col Leighton-White. Naval Captain, resident of Antigua. One son and two daughters.

Mrs Lucilla Radcliffe (disenf) (wed)

Married to Captain Jonathan Radcliffe, resident of Antigua. Daughter of Col Leighton-White. One son and two daughters.

Sir David Leighton (enf) (unwed)

Only son of Col. Leighton White

Ms Rachel Leighton-White (disenf) (unwed)

Second daughter of Col Leighton-White.

Captain Thomas Parker (enf) (unwed)

Nephew of Col Leighton-White.

de Creassey

Viscomtess Dowager de Creassey (NPC)

Venerable lady of French title, has sadly outlived husband and son. Beset by tragic loss of estates in Paris, but very well-connected.

Dame Candace Arnott (enf) (unwed)

A widow in the prime of life with independent means. Daughter of Viscomtess de Creassey. No children.

Mrs Emily de Creassey (disenf) (unwed)

A youthful widow. Daughter-in-law of Viscomtess de Creassey. Well connected in military circles. No children.

Sir William Arnott (enf) (wed)

A gentleman in the prime of life. Brother-in-law of Dame Candace Arnott

Cecil

Webb

Lady Sophie Augusta Roden (NPC)

A widow of independent means.

Mr Marcus Roden (disenf) (unwed)

Lady Roden's nephew. Youthful gentleman of no particular occupation, Mr Roden often accompanies his aunt.

Miss Georgina Webb (disenf) (unwed)

Lady Roden's cousin. A young lady notable for her artistic accomplishments and fine singing voice.

Miss Hester Webb (disenf) (unwed)

A youthful lady, eager to see more of London society. 

First Marquess of Salisbury, James Cecil (NPC)

Although the Marquess is a recent title, the family have been ennobled for over 200 years. A vigorous politician with position in the royal household. Several daughters but no son. 

 

Lord Stephen Joseph Fitzgerald, Baron Cecil (enf) (unwed)

Roguish sportsman, nephew of Marquess of Salisbury and next in line to title. 

Lord Bellomont, (enf) (unwed)

Cousin of the Marquess. Lady wife sadly deceased. Fond of a wager or adventure, he travels widely.

 

Mr Henry Fitzgerald (disenf) (unwed)

Youthful gentleman, student of law. Nephew of the Marquess.

Ms Lucy Fitzgerald (disenf) (unwed)

Youthful lady, quite adventurous and very fond of country life. Extremely well-connected. Niece of the Marquess.
